Motion sensor

Passive infrared technology is used by motion sensors to detect heat and movement.

These sensors are normally fixed to the ceiling or high enough on a wall to allow the sensor to see the whole room. Motion sensors that with a high accuracy rate are an important part of office security, automated lighting control, and energy conservation activities.

Motion sensors’ accuracy mainly suffer from people sitting for lengthy periods of time, such as at a conference or at a desk. These office sensors are also incapable of detecting the number of persons using a specific space.
